Growing up as little boy in Esmont, Virginia, I constantly complained that I was starving, that the food took to long to cook and by the time it got to the table I had the nerve to be particular about what was placed before me.  Ruth Brown used to always say, "Shut up Scooter, beggars can't be choosy. Beside a great meal SOME times takes MORE time to GET READY than you're WILLING to wait." Which reminds me that when you're hungry for anything that The Lord has to offer don't ever make the mistake of downsizing His promises. He may already be preparing a supersize blessing with your name on it if only you remain faithful!! Be blessed.

I've been sitting here thinking about how Tim Tebow and The Denver Broncos defeated The Pittsburg Steelers in the playoffs after all the naysayers had completely written them off. Guess they didn't factor God into the game plan or figure out that faith could actually be instrumental in what happens on the playing field. I know what some of you are probably saying amongst yourselves, "He's foolish enough to believe that The Lord is really concerned about what happens in a football game." I guess your right in some ways but the truth of the matter is that I don't limit the sovereignty of my Savior to everywhere else BUT stadiums. Nor do I measure success in accordance to a win- loss record. Romans 8:28 reads, And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. To quote the lyrics from DJ Khaled that my Pastor Reginald T. Johnson Jr. put into a spiritual perspective, as believers ALL WE DO IS WIN, WIN, WIN NO MATTER WHAT. How else can you explain losing 3 games in a row including one that was virtually a must win but still "backing" into the playoffs because a team that was suppose to win, lost although they had home field advantage? Or having to face a team that was heavily favored and coming out off the arena as the winner? I guess it's true what we say, FAVOR AIN'T FAIR. Be blessed!!
